Alex Insam masters the qualification

On Friday, the ski jumping World Cup in Engelberg (Switzerland) opened with the qualification. Only one Azzurro mastered this hurdle.

Alex Insam from Val Gardena was the only one of the azure blue squad to qualify for the world jumping competition on Saturday. He made it into the top 42 in 116,5nd place (50 points). Francesco Cecon (51st) and Andrea Campregher (66th) had to throw in the towel.

The best distance was recorded by Daniel Tschofenig from Austria, who leads the ranking with 170,9 points ahead of the Norwegian Johann Andre Forfang and the surprisingly strong American Kevin Bickner (161,9).
