Jakob Franzelin from Montane, Ambra Pomaré, Giulia Valleriani and Enrico Zucchini competed for the Azzurri on Sunday - and only just missed the showdown for the medals. Franzlin and Valleriani secured two points for the azure quartet in the quarter-finals against Sweden, but the defeats of Pomaré and Zucchini ultimately weighed too heavily. Sweden, in the person of Liza Backlund, Albin Larsson, Astrid Hedin and Alexander Ax Schwartz, won with a lead of 0,56 seconds.
The Scandinavians ultimately made it to the final, but lost to the French. June Brand, Jonas Skabar, Garance Meyer and Arthur Heude won every single match and secured their second gold medal in the team parallel event after the 4 Junior World Championships in Val di Fassa with a score of 0:2019. Bronze went to the Americans Elisabeth Bocock, Sawyer Reed, Liv Moritz and Stanley Buzek, who prevailed against Switzerland in the small final.
