Baby on the way: Olympic ski champion in pure happiness

There is some good news from Italy's skiing world: an Olympic champion can look forward to having a baby.

In March 2024, a great skiing career came to an end in Italy. At the proud age of 38, Giuliano Razzoli announced the end of his career. A career that included a huge and surprising highlight. In 2010, Razzoli sensationally won Olympic slalom gold in Vancouver. To this day, the man from Emilia-Romagna remains the last men's Olympic skiing champion from Italy.

Razzoli has now put his skiing career on hold, but he's passionate about his new mission: his family. Immediately after retiring in spring 2024, his wife Elisa gave birth to a son, and now the couple is expecting another child, as Razzoli announced on Instagram.

"There's not much to say. That beautiful belly suits you perfectly," Razzoli captioned a family photo, the bulge in Elisa's belly unmistakable. Once a hero on the ski slopes, soon to be a proud father of two: Giuliano Razzoli is doing just fine.

By the way, he now also has a new job: Razzoli works for his family's company, which produces high-quality balsamic vinegar in the Apennines on the border with Tuscany.
