While the big ski stars didn't reveal their cards on the first training day in Crans Montana yesterday, the picture changed on the final training day on Friday. Dominik Paris achieved the best time of the day ahead of the American Ryan Cochran-Siegle (+0,28 seconds).
"The track is quite easy. There are a lot of bumps and curves and you don't drive fast. Today the visibility was better and you could drive a bit better than yesterday, especially in the upper part of the track where it is a bit shady. I will try to put in a bit more tomorrow. Then it will depend on what the others do," said Paris after training.

The other top athletes also finished in the top places. World champion Franjo von Allmen, for example, finished with the third fastest time and Vincent Kriechmayer came in 6th. Marco Odermatt, on the other hand, had to settle for 19th place. Mattia Casse, who finished training the day before with the third fastest time, finished in 9th place.Local hero and world champion Franjo von Allmen came third. © ANSA / ALESSANDRO DELLA VALLE
From a South Tyrolean perspective, Florian Schieder finished training in 41st place (+2,42) and Christof Innerhofer was 45th. Schieder is also listed in the ranking as "DQP", i.e. potentially disqualified, which means that he missed a gate. This weekend there will be a downhill race (Saturday at 10 a.m.) and a super-G (Sunday at 10.30 a.m.) in Crans-Montana (Switzerland).
