They are the biggest dream couple in the ski scene – and now they want to tie the knot. Mikaela Shiffrin and Aleksander Aamodt Kilde got engaged.

Pictures often say more than 1000 words. This saying also applies to Mikaela Shiffrin and Aleksander Aamodt Kilde's recent Instagram posting. The two ski stars posted some photos together online in which they were beaming with each other. Because: Shiffrin wears a thick diamond bling on her left ring finger. And although there is no text accompanying the pictures, it shows unmistakably: We are engaged.

The ski world is delighted with these photos. Within a few hours, the snapshots received more than 170.000 likes. Kristina Shiffrin, Mikaela's sister-in-law, commented: "If you know, then you know... and you know." These are the same words that Shiffrin and Kilde chose in June 2021 to make their relationship public.

“Is Kilde driving for the USA now?”

Ski star Breezy Johnson even made Kilde an offer: “Will you ski for the USA now?” Another user stated: “Their children will be ski machines.”

Kilde and Shiffrin are the dream couple of the scene and stand by each other in good times and bad. When Kilde was brutally injured in Wengen this year, Shiffrin immediately rushed to the hospital and stood by her Aleksander. The two often show on Instagram how much they love each other and how much they appreciate each other. Now there is the next chapter in the love story.
