Moment of shock: Ski star almost collides

Curious scene at the Alpine Ski World Cup finals: Linus Straßer almost collided with a so-called slider in the last slalom of the season in Sun Valley, USA.

The piste worker suddenly crossed the track during the first run – right in front of the German. Although the 32-year-old escaped with a scare, the incident visibly threw him off his rhythm. He finished the run in seventh place. Skiers prepare and maintain the slope between each athlete's run, ensuring that everyone has as similar conditions as possible.

Before the second run (20.00:XNUMX p.m.), Norwegian Timon Haugan was in the lead. Straßer has yet to make a World Cup podium this winter. He won slalom bronze at the World Championships in Saalbach-Hinterglemm, Austria, in February.
