Saslong: How is the victim of the fall doing?

According to initial investigations, Norwegian downhill skier Fredrik Möller escaped relatively unscathed after his heavy crash in Val Gardena.

He shows no signs of a serious head injury and can move his arms and legs, Norwegian head coach Michael Rottensteiner told the media. "The situation is more positive than we feared."

According to an official statement, Möller lost two teeth and suffered severe bruising. He had jumped over a camel hump while leaning backwards and fallen onto his back at high speed. He will now be closely monitored by the hospital and the association's medical team to rule out further injuries after such a serious fall, the Norwegian association said.
