Serious fall: Fears for Mattia Casse

The first men's downhill training in Kvitfjell was overshadowed by a serious fall by the Italian Mattia Casse.

Mattia Casse left the start house with number 16 and was the fastest of all after the first intermediate time before he crashed into the safety nets. Training was then interrupted for 20 minutes. Dominik Paris ended up with the second-best time.

There is still no update on the health of Casse, who had to be transported away after his serious fall. The 35-year-old won the Super-G in Val Gardena this winter and is currently the best speed skier from Italy alongside Paris.
