Training camp canceled: Lindsey Vonn worried

Ski superstar Lindsey Vonn has cut her training camp in Chile short. She's worried about "her boy."

Lindsey Vonn is working toward the new ski season with great dedication and passion. The American recently completed a good training camp in Chile. "I feel healthy, great, and excited for what's to come," Vonn wrote on Instagram. She then explained that she had to end her training camp a day earlier than planned.

Her dog, Leo, isn't feeling well. "I had to go home to see my dog, Leo. My boy is getting old, but he's still holding on. His strength makes me strong too," Vonn said. A few hours later, she posted a photo of herself cuddling with Leo. "I arrived home to spend a few days with Leo. He's already 13 years old, and his body is starting to give him problems," Vonn said.

The soon-to-be 41-year-old (her birthday is on Saturday) adds: "He's always been the strongest boy. Before I adopted him, he was hit by a car, and now he's just overcome cancer. He's not ready to go yet—thank God! My boy is a fighter, and he's my whole heart."

These are emotional words from Lindsey Vonn, who treats her dogs like family members. In March of this year her dog Lucy died, which really took its toll on the ski queen.
