Elisa Platino starts in the giant slalom.

Two South Tyroleans start in Åre

The ski season is slowly but surely coming to an end. The technical women's final weekend before the World Cup finals is now in Åre.

In the Swedish venue of the 2019 World Cup, there will be a giant slalom on Saturday (9.30:12.30 a.m. and 9.30:12.30 p.m.) and a slalom on Sunday (XNUMX:XNUMX a.m. and XNUMX:XNUMX p.m.). Two South Tyroleans will be involved: Elisa Platino from Merano will start in the giant slalom, while Vera Tschurtschenthaler will have a chance in the slalom.

In Åre, all eyes are on the battle for the overall World Cup. Federica Brignone is currently in the lead with 1.194 points, with Lara Gut-Behrami 251 points behind. So the chances are good that the in-form Brignone will bring the big crystal globe to Italy for the second time in her career. In Sweden, the Aosta native could set the course for this.

The program in Åre

Saturday, March 8: Giant Slalom (9.30:12.30 am/XNUMX:XNUMX pm)
Sunday, March 9th: Slalom (9.30 am/12.30 pm)
