There's less to be gained in the USA this time.

After her podium debut a week ago in Park City, Verena Hofer had no such success this time in Lake Placid. The other Italian athletes also failed to reach the podium.

A week ago, Verena Hofer finished second. first time on the podiumOn Saturday night (CET), she finished no higher than tenth. She was 0,831 seconds behind the winner, Julia Taubitz. The German relegated the two Americans, Ashley Farquharson (+0,132 sec.) and Summer Britcher (+0,230 sec.), to second and third place, respectively.

Emily Sweeney Fischnaller, wife of Dominik Fischnaller, rounded off the strong performance of the American women with a fourth-place finish (+0,247). Sandra Robatscher and Nina Zöggeler from Tiers finished in twelfth place (+0,987) and fifteenth place (+1,307), respectively.

Today, Saturday, both the doubles races and the men's competitions are on the program.
