Wierer's fight: "I'm not feeling well"

From the Azzurre's point of view, only Michela Carrara was happy with her sensational fifth place in the biathlon sprint in Lenzerheide. The two South Tyroleans, however, were not satisfied, although in Dorothea Wierer's case there is a specific reason for this.

has started Dorothea Wierer (21.) on Friday like the fire brigade. After the first shooting, the 1-year-old in the sprint the third best intermediate time before she missed twice in the standing shooting. This is not the first time this winter that Wierer has had difficulties standing. "That was not the reason today. I took a lot of risks standing today, shot quickly and tried to use the moment," said the Niederrasner in an interview with SportNews.

Wierer gave further insight into her situation: "I'm not feeling well at all health-wise. I didn't know whether I should start today. I'm having serious problems breathing. If you're not 100 percent fit, it's difficult at this level. I collapsed on the last lap because I'm just having trouble breathing. Even when I'm just going for a normal walk."

I hope that things will improve soon." Wierer is not particularly enthusiastic about the conditions in Lenzerheide: "The course has too many ups and downs for me."
