Bø defended his gold medal in the sprint with a total of two shooting errors in the pursuit. The Norwegian, who will end his career at the end of the season, once again won ahead of the New Zealander Campbell Wright. The 22-year-old's story is a special one. Wright competes for the USA and is coached there by the South Tyrolean Armin Auchentaller.
The playboy was always considered a great talent and has now made his breakthrough into the world elite. Bronze went to Frenchman Erric Perrot. He is also only 23 years old. Perrot started from 15th place and still made it onto the podium. He has also won the World Cup twice. In France, there are high hopes that he could become the new Raphaël Poirée or Martin Fourcade.

Tommaso Giacomel held on to his fifth place from the sprint. The Trentino native was back on course for a medal. However, two errors in the third shooting set him back. Lukas Hofer fell from 16th to 20th place. The Montal native also made two mistakes in the third shooting. The Biathlon World Championships in Lenzerheide continue on Tuesday (15.05:XNUMX p.m.) with the women's individual event.
