In Passler's comeback: The teammate wins

At the IBU Cup not far from the South Tyrolean border in Obertilliach (East Tyrol), there was an Italian victory in the women's sprint and the comeback of Rebecca Passler.

Shortly before the World Cup opening in Kontiolahti, Finland, Passler was unable to compete due to illness. Since then, the Antholz native has been absent and has trained individually. In her comeback not far from her home in the second-class IBU Cup, Passler finished in 7th place on Thursday with one shooting error.

The young Birgit Schölzhorn from Sterzing missed two targets and took a respectable 21st place, while Linda Zingerle (48th) had to go into the penalty loop five times. The victory went to the 20-year-old Italian Ilara Scattolo, who Passler lost 37 seconds to.

Braunhofer also there

In the men's race, Johannes Dael-Skjevdal won ahead of Johan-Olav Botn. A total of four Norwegians and three Germans were in the top 7. The best South Tyrolean was Patrick Braunhofer in 12th place. The Ridnauner, who made no mistakes, lost 1.13 minutes to the leader. Christoph Pircher had to settle for 60th place.
