S+From near-retirement to the Olympics? Nöckler wants to prove everyone wrong.

"The main goal is to be at the Olympics," says Dietmar Nöckler, outlining the season's objective. The veteran, who is no longer part of the national team and has come close to ending his career several times, knows it won't be easy, indeed, it would be almost a sensation.

“First, I want to qualify for the Tour de Ski. That’s almost a must to have a chance at the Olympics,” says Nöckler. The 37-year-old from Bruneck wants to prove himself again and be part of the 2026 Winter Olympics. It would be his third Olympic appearance after 2014 and 2018.
