The cross-country skiing final in Sulden was a complete success
The grand finale of the cross-country skiing event took place in Sulden last weekend with the final leg of the Raiffeisen Cross-Country Cup and the state championships for club relay teams. More than 250 participants turned the season finale, organized by ASV Prad, into a cross-country skiing festival.

While the final stage of the Raiffeisen Cross-Country Cup was still on the program on Saturday, which also counted towards the Alperia Cup ranking, the national championships for club relay teams were held on Sunday.
The titles were awarded in the categories "Giovanissimi" (U8 and U10), "Cuccioli" (U12), "Ragazzi" (U14), "Allievi" (U16), and "Giovani/Senior" (>U16). There was no evidence of dominance. In these five categories, four new club state champions emerged. Only Antholz took home two titles. In the "Giovanissimi" category, Elia Rainer, Lara Steinkasserer, and Ilvy Wierer won the title for Antholz, and in the "Ragazzi" category, Anna Wolf, Maya Wierer, and Elia Steinkasserer took the top spot for Antholz. In the U12 category, Sarntal was crowned the new club state champion; the trio of Joseph Stiglmair, Thea Moser, and Noe Moser were unbeatable. The Val Gardena team consisting of Samuel Demetz, Eline Rabanser and Robin Kostner won the title in the U16 category, while in the “Giovani/Senior” category, the Pustertal team Lukas Schwingshackl, Livia Kargruber and Ruben Wurzer from the 5V Loipe club completed the relay fastest.
At the final stage of the Raiffeisen Cross-Country Cup, the following category winners emerged:
U8: Hanna Stiglmair (Sarntal) and Elias Hofer (Gröden)
U10: Thea Moser (Sarntal) and Elia Rainer (Antholz)
U12: Elena Kostner (Gröden) and Noe Moser (Sarntal)
U14: Anna Profatner (Seiser Alm Ski Team) and Tobias Schwingshackl (5V Cross-country ski)
U16: Anne Kuppelwieser (Prad) and Robin Kostner (Gröden)
U18: Emma Schwitzer (Sarntal) and Elias Oberhöller (Sarntal)
U20: Livia Kargruber (5V trail) and Ruben Wurzer (5V trail)
Seniors: Giada Santus (Sesvenna) and Gabriel Köhl (Deutschnofen)
Master A: David Hofer (Val Gardena)
Master B: Georg Piazza (Val Gardena)
The freeskiers show their talent at Arlberg
South Tyrol's freeskiers headed to St. Anton am Arlberg this weekend. A European Big Air Cup took place on Saturday, March 21. Two athletes from the South Tyrolean national team participated. Max von Aufschneiter (Gröden) and Elia Baez Locher (Ritten) got a taste of the older skiers and finished in 42nd and 45th place, respectively.The following day, an FIS slopestyle race was scheduled. Two other South Tyrolean national team athletes, Heidi Pescollderungg (Vitamin F) and Liam Gamper (Ritten), competed, along with Maria Gasslitter (Gröden), a former national team athlete. Gasslitter also won the slopestyle race in St. Anton, and Pescollderungg shone with sixth place. The young South Tyroleans also impressed in the men's competition. Gamper finished 14th, von Aufschneiter took 20th place, thus winning the U15 category, and Baez Locher finished 29th.
