A cross-country skiing icon is on cloud nine.

Baby happiness: Olympic champion celebrates her most beautiful victory

In her career, she won everything there is to win. Now, however, a cross-country skiing legend celebrated her greatest success off the trail.

Eight Olympic medals (three of them gold), 13 medals at World Championships, and 74 podium finishes in the World Cup: Yes, cross-country skiing icon Charlotte Kalla has had countless reasons to celebrate throughout her career. But even though the Swede has been showered with success, her most memorable victories came after her retirement.


Cross-country skier Kalla has now become a mother, Charlotte. Shortly after retiring in 2022, her son Alvin was born, and now the 38-year-old is on cloud nine again. A few days ago, she became a mother for the second time.



"Welcome to the world, little brother," Kalla wrote on Instagram alongside a photo of the whole family. "On August 2nd, we became a family of four. Your little heart already belongs to us. We're doing well and looking forward to getting to know you," said an overjoyed former cross-country skier.

Now a new chapter begins for Kalla. The Scandinavian has already proven in the past that she can easily navigate life after her sporting career. Among other things, she participated in the Swedish edition of let's dance and took second place. Now she is enjoying life as a mother.
