Baumgartner in the top ten in St. Moritz

Even without his pusher Simon Wulff, who is suspected of doping and is currently suspended, Germany's bobsleigh Olympic champion Francesco Friedrich won the World Cup in St. Moritz, at the same time as his compatriot and rival Johannes Lochner.

In the two-man bobsleigh competition, the two German teams had a total time of 2:12:21 minutes after two runs. Friedrich's teammate Wulff had an unusual test result during a competition control, which is why he was not able to take part.

In the shadow of the German dominance, Patrick Baumgartner also put in a good performance in the natural ice channel in St. Moritz. Together with his pusher Eric Fantazzini, he improved from twelfth to tenth place in the final. The second South Tyrolean, Alex Verginer, took 19th place with Mario Lambrughi.

On Sunday, the four-man bobsleigh World Cup race is scheduled to take place in St. Moritz.
