In the fifth women's individual ski jumping event, Canadian Abigail Strate finished second and three-time season winner Nozomi Maruyama took third place, completing the podium. Slovenian Nika Prevc, who won the last World Cup event in Falun, was disqualified after the qualifying round. The overall World Cup champion's skis were one centimeter too long relative to her weight.
The best Italian rider was Annika Sieff in 21st place. Jessica Malsiner from Val Gardena missed out on points.
The ski jumping team, including Freitag and Schmid, will continue their schedule seamlessly until Christmas. After Wisla, they have a home competition in Klingenthal and the World Cup in Engelberg, Switzerland. Around the turn of the year, the Two Nights Tour takes place with competitions in Garmisch-Partenkirchen and Oberstdorf. The winter of 2026/27 is planned to see the first-ever Four Hills Tournament for women.
