After five consecutive wins: Prevc's winning streak comes to an end

Today, Sunday, the men's and women's World Cup races took place on the Gross-Titlis Chance course in Engelberg, Switzerland. Domen Prevc's successful run was halted.

Japanese ski jumper Ryoyu Kobayashi won the World Cup in Engelberg, ending Domen Prevc's winning streak. Kobayashi improved from fifth to first place with a strong final jump, finishing 3,6 points ahead. Prevc, who had led at the halfway point, had to settle for second place after difficult wind conditions in the second round. Germany's Felix Hoffmann finished third.

For Kobayashi, it was his second victory of the 2025/26 season, following his win in Lillehammer. Prevc missed out on his sixth consecutive World Cup victory, but remains the leader in the overall World Cup standings. Despite missing out on the win, the Slovenian maintained his lead with a significant points advantage, while Kobayashi's victory in Engelberg earned him crucial points in the battle for the overall title.

Prevc outstanding once again

Slovenian Nika Prevc won the women's Ski Jumping World Cup with a convincing performance. She was among the leaders in the first round, and in the final round, she confirmed her strong form, securing a clear lead with two clean jumps. Norway's Anna Odine Strøm finished second, 16,7 points behind. Germany's Katharina Schmid came in third, 36,2 points back.

For Prevc, it was another important success in the current World Cup, further solidifying her position in the overall standings. From an Italian perspective, the only Azzurra in the field, Annika Sieff, finished in 23rd place, thus collecting more World Cup points.
