In mid-July, about two months ago, the new ski jumping facility in Predazzo opened. The ski jumps underwent a complete renovation, making them fit for the Olympic Games in February.


But a dark shadow already hangs over the facility in the Fiemme Valley. Three ski jumpers have suffered serious knee injuries since the opening in Predazzo – all on the same weekend. Eva Pinkelnig (AUT), For Alexandria Loutitt (NOR) and Haruka Kasai (JPN), the Summer Grand Prix in Predazzo turned into a nightmare. All three athletes tore their cruciate ligaments in falls. Their Olympic dream is over.
