Innichen is firmly in German hands

The ski cross races in Innichen are over. A German is at the top of the men's race, while his compatriot Daniela Maier won the women's race.

Florian Wilmsmann was the fastest in the qualification on Thursday - and the same happened a day later in the competition. The German won the final ahead of Youri Duplessis Kergomard (FRA) and Johannes Aujesky (AUT).

From a local perspective, there was not much to gain. Yanick Gunsch was not even able to qualify and Dominik Zuech was eliminated in the round of 20. In the end, the Burggräfler finished in 8th place. The best Azzurro in Innichen was Davide Cazzaniga (XNUMXth), who fought his way into the semi-finals.

In the women's category, another Azzurra, Jole Galli, reached the semi-finals, but was also eliminated there. Galli won the small final, which was enough for fifth place. The victory went to Daniela Maier from Germany. She beat Talina Gantenbein (SUI) and Marielle Berger Sabbatel (FRA).
