Preparations are in full swing at the Karerpass.

The snowboard stars are coming in a month.

Preparations are in full swing in the Carezza Dolomites ski resort for the 15th edition of the Parallel Snowboard World Cup, which will take place in exactly one month: On December 18th, a women's parallel giant slalom and a men's parallel giant slalom will be held on the Pra di Tori slope.

At the Karerpass, preparations for the event are underway, combining tried-and-tested concepts with new features for spectators. Meanwhile, thanks to the colder temperatures, preparations for the slope have begun.

Preparations are in full swing for the exciting knockout competitions of the VISA FIS Snowboard World Cup in Carezza Dolomites. The organizing committee, led by Andreas Obkircher, is working on the details that will make the 15th edition of this classic event at the foot of the Rosengarten and Latemar mountains an unforgettable experience. With temperatures dropping in recent days and winter conditions now prevailing, preparations began on the Pra di Tori slope on Monday night.

News for the 15th edition

The organizers have also considered the spectators: For the first time, a grandstand will be erected in the finish area, offering an even more comfortable view of the 15th VISA FIS Snowboard World Cup in Carezza Dolomites. Snowboard fans can also travel to the Karerpass by public transport, as usual, to see their stars in action. "It will be a wonderful edition, very much in keeping with the previous ones," explain the organizers, who have once again committed to planning and executing the event in Carezza Dolomites according to sustainable criteria and have received "Green Event" certification from the South Tyrol Provincial Environmental Agency.

Among the various "special" initiatives designed specifically for the 15th edition is an award for the long-serving volunteers who contribute to the event's success year after year. "It's not every day that you get to celebrate the 15th edition of a World Cup event! This would be impossible without the invaluable contribution of the many volunteers. For this reason, we would like to recognize the long-serving volunteers who have supported us in running our World Cup event for many years," explain the local organizers of the World Cup in Carezza.

An exciting program for the audience

The event in Carezza Dolomites is the third stop of the Snowboard World Cup in the 2025/26 Olympic winter. On Tuesday, December 16th, and Wednesday, December 17th, the athletes will train on the Paolina slope. Additionally, the winners of the last edition, Bulgarian Radoslav Yankov and Italian Jasmin Coratti, will inaugurate the Hubertus cable car cabin named after them on Wednesday at 14 p.m. A few hours later, at 18 p.m., snowboarders, teams, and fans will gather in the heated marquee at the Karerpass for the opening ceremony of the 15th VISA FIS Snowboard World Cup in Carezza Dolomites and the bib draw.

On December 18th, the snowboarders will compete in the parallel giant slalom on the Pra di Tori. Qualifying runs begin at 9:00 AM to determine the 16 female and 16 male participants for the giant slalom finals. The decisive knockout phase starts at 12:30 PM, beginning with the round of 16. The winners of the 15th VISA FIS Snowboard World Cup in Carezza Dolomites will then be crowned in the finals.
