Over 1000 meters, Vigl finished 20th in Division B with a time of 1:19.42. The victory in this distance went to Japan's Miho Takagi, who won in 1:14.39. She crossed the finish line in 39,21 in the first 500 meters, while the win went to Femke Kok of the Netherlands, who set a new track record of 37,05. Vigl maintained a similar time in the second 500 meters with 39,36, while the victory in this race went to Yukino Yoshida of Japan in 37,65.
In the current World Cup standings, Maybritt Vigl is ranked 42nd in the 1000 meters, making her the best Italian skater over this distance. She is ranked 45th in the 500 meters.
After a long competition period of around two months, Vigl showed signs of physical strain. "It was a strenuous weekend. The 1000 meters were tough because I'm starting to run out of energy. I'm not completely satisfied, but considering the circumstances of this long racing period, the races were quite okay," Vigl explained. At the same time, she's already looking ahead: "I'm looking forward to going home now and joining the national team for a training camp in Ritten until Christmas."
