“Finstral Trophy” in Klobenstein a complete success

On the weekend of January 18th and 19th, the artificial ice rink in Klobenstein was all about speed skating. The 43rd edition of the renowned junior and neo-senior all-round race "Finstral Trophy" attracted 200 participants from 11 nations - including 21 talented athletes from the Ritten Sport club.

The high-caliber race, which is considered one of the most important international youth competitions, offered exciting competitions in six age categories over distances of between 300 and 3000 meters. The competitions were held in the categories Neosenior (U23), A (U20), B (U18), C (U16), D (U14) and E (U12). The athletes presented themselves in top form, also thanks to the good weather conditions. The athletes of the Ritten Sport club were particularly impressive: with a total of 30 personal best times and numerous podium places, they demonstrated their high level of performance.

The outstanding performances included the results in the individual categories: In the Junior E women's category, Helen Grace Endrizzi took the win, followed by Bianca Ghisolfi in second place. In the Junior E men's category, Elias Mulser triumphed, while Florian Spornberger took third place. In the Junior D women's category, Miriam Steiner secured the top spot on the podium, with Mariasole Nolli in second place. Ritten Sport also impressed in the team ranking, taking an impressive second place.

Positive conclusion

Coaches Nicola Mayr and Hannes Untermarzoner were extremely satisfied after the successful weekend. "We are proud of the large number of personal bests and podium finishes achieved by our athletes," concluded Mayr. She also emphasized that these successes not only recognized the achievements of the young athletes, but also the hard work of the entire club.

The "Finstral Trophy" has once again demonstrated why the ice rink in Klobenstein is a central venue for international speed skating competitions. The event was organized by Ritten Sport under the direction of Adelheid Ramoser, the head of the organizing committee of the Junior and Neo-Senior World Cup finals and the Junior World Championships, which are also taking place in Klobenstein - the World Cup finals on February 1st and 2nd and the Junior World Championships on February 7th, 8th and 9th.
