Seattle Seahawks maintain playoff chances
The Seattle Seahawks can still hope for a playoff appearance in the NFL. Quarterback Geno Smith's team won 6-3 (6-3) against the Chicago Bears despite their weakest offensive performance of the season.

With nine wins and seven losses, the Seahawks remain second in their NFC West division, with the first-placed Los Angeles Rams just ahead with nine wins and six losses. The two teams will face off on the last day of the American football league's regular season. However, the Seahawks will not be able to reach the NFL finals on their own.
Seattle's quarterback Smith did not live up to his potential: The 34-year-old did not throw a touchdown pass and only covered 160 yards. The only points came from kicker Jason Myers, who scored a field goal in the first attack and shortly before halftime. The Seahawks only managed six points; they last scored fewer points in November 2023.
Defense brings victory
Instead, head coach Mike Macdonald's team was able to rely on its defensive performance: Defender Riq Woolen intercepted the last pass attempt by Chicago quarterback Caleb Wiliams, and the Seahawks defense also brought Williams down seven times. The Bears lost their ninth game in a row.Edit Profile
