Star player injured, Allen makes history

The San Francisco 49ers are increasingly experiencing a season to forget in the NFL. Last year's finalists from California lost 10:35 to the Buffalo Bills in heavy snow and have little chance of participating in the playoffs.

To make matters worse, star player Christian McCaffrey was seriously injured. The Bills, on the other hand, have secured their ticket to the knockout round early and, after a historic performance from quarterback Josh Allen, are still one of the biggest title contenders.

San Francisco reached the Super Bowl in February, where they narrowly lost to the Kansas City Chiefs (22:25). In the current season, coach Kyle Shanahan's team has only won five games in twelve games, putting them last in the NFC West.

McCaffrey's cruciate ligament injury

Star running back McCaffrey injured his ACL during the game in Buffalo, which was played on a snow-covered surface in the midst of a violent storm, and is in danger of missing the rest of the season. "We usually talk about several weeks with this injury, but I'm not entirely sure," said Coach Shanahan.

The Bills, on the other hand, are in a great mood and looking forward to the playoffs. With ten wins and only two losses, Buffalo remains on the heels of the Chiefs (11-1) in the race for the top spot in the AFC. Josh Allen made history and became the first quarterback to throw, run for and catch at least one touchdown in a game. After the game, he celebrated his triple and the Bills' outstanding evening by lying on his back on the ground with coach Sean McDermott during an interview and making a snow angel.
