A Canadian strengthens Merano's defense

HC Meran is working on its squad for next season and has secured the services of a Canadian defender.

Brayden Sherbinin will now provide the necessary support for the Adler defense. The 32-year-old Sherbinin began his career in Canada before landing in the ECHL via the NCAA and USports. The skilled skater, who can make an excellent first pass, then made the jump across the pond to France. After two seasons in the Ligue Magnus, the Canadian showcased his skills in Great Britain and Denmark before returning to GAP in France.

Last season, the 1,85-meter-tall, 84-kilogram defenseman collected an impressive 50 points in 30 games. Now, the Canadian, described as a "complete defender," wants to make a splash in the Alps Hockey League.
