A setback for the Underland Cavaliers

The weekend in the Alps Hockey League concluded with the match between Bregenzerwald and the Unterland Cavaliers. The South Tyrolean team suffered a defeat.

The Unterland Cavaliers, languishing at the bottom of the table, suffered another heavy defeat on Sunday evening. In their away game against EC Bregenzerwald, the Cavs were thrashed 2-5. It was the 25th loss for the Unterland team in their 31st league match.

In front of 789 spectators, efficiency once again proved decisive: While Bregenzerwald scored five goals from 36 shots, the Unterland team managed just two goals from 33 attempts. The Austrians were already leading 4-0 after 25 minutes, and shortly before the end of the second period, ECB extended their lead to 5-0. Seniut (51st minute) and Galimberti (59th minute) scored consolation goals for the Unterland team.
