Gröden lets its top scorer go

HC Gherdëina loses its best forward: Adam Brady follows a lucrative call out of the valley of woodcarvers.

Brady arrived in Val Gardena last summer with excellent credentials from the top Hungarian league. There, he played in 23 league games during the Ladin team's bumpy first half of the season, accumulating 26 points (10 goals, 16 assists).

The 30-year-old Canadian was arrested on Thursday evening at the 1:7 defeat of the tenth-placed team against champions Zell am See Brady was not used. And for a specific reason: He received clearance from HCG before the game. "A financial agreement was reached with his new club," read a brief statement from the Val Gardena team. Rumors suggest Brady is on the verge of a move to the DEL2.
