Gröden's top scorer moves to Germany

It was announced on Friday that HC Gherdëina and their top scorer Adam Brady will be parting ways. The Canadian's new employer is in Germany.

On Saturday evening, the Lausitzer Füchse, a team in the DEL2 league, announced the signing of the 30-year-old. "With this signing, the Füchse are responding to the heavy workload of the coming weeks. After the conclusion of the first half of the season, the decisive phase is now upon us, with an intense schedule around the Christmas holidays and New Year's. The Füchse's goal is to add depth and quality to the roster in order to maintain their position in the middle of the standings and secure their targeted pre-playoff spot," according to a press release.

Brady, with 26 points in 23 games, was the most dangerous forward for the struggling Ladiners, who nevertheless granted him the transfer. The center could make his debut for the Foxes as early as Sunday; they currently sit in ninth place in the DEL2.

That's what the sporting director says

“We were looking for a versatile center who was available at short notice and could be used in all game situations,” emphasizes Jens Baxmann, Sporting Director at the Füchse. “Adam fulfills exactly these criteria. With his experience and offensive drive, he will give us additional options in the second half of the season.”
