Here is the Merano top transfer

In their search for reinforcements for the upcoming season in the Alps Hockey League, HC Meran also looked in their home waters – and landed a really big fish.

With 84 caps for Italy and experience in the ICE Hockey League (HC Pustertal), the ECHL (Alaska Aces), and the British EIHL (Dundee Stars, Sheffield Steelers), Tommaso Traversa has seen a lot in his ice hockey career. The 34-year-old from Piedmont is now set to take on a leadership role in Merano.

"Tommaso Traversa strengthens the Eagles' attack and brings a wealth of experience to Merano," reads the press release from HCM, which announced the signing on Friday evening. Traversa comes from HC Pustertal, where he played 49 games (scoring 6 points) last season. Traversa is also very familiar with the AlpsHL, having previously played for Ritten, Pustertal, and Cortina – and even won the title with the Rittner Buam in 2017.

Tommaso Traversa has also made numerous appearances for the Blue Team.

Traversa is the third top-class new addition to HCM's attack, following the arrivals of Samuel Claesson and Christopher Frederiksen. Experienced Canadian Brayden Sherbinin has also been brought in for defense. And the Eagles have already landed a top-notch signing in goal: Andy Bernard succeeds Rudy Rigoni.
