Merano reacts after bad news

HC Meran (Alps Hockey League) had to become active on the transfer market after an injury-related absence.

The fears have been confirmed: Danish international and Merano newcomer Christopher Frederiksen has suffered a serious knee injury and will miss the rest of the season. "This news hits us all hard," the Merano team wrote in a press release.

The AlpsHL club reacted promptly and signed a new player. Filip Cruseman from Sweden has been given a one-month tryout contract. The 35-year-old forward has already played in the Swedish top league and was most recently under contract with Karlskrona HK in the HockeyEttan (Swedish third division). Cruseman is expected to make his debut in the Eagles jersey next week.
