After Brady's departure: Val Gardena brings in a replacement

Following Adam Brady's departure, Hockey Club Gherdëina made a move in the transfer market and signed Czech player Vlastimil Dostalek.

The 31-year-old is no stranger to these parts, having played for KHL Sisak last season. The Czech player racked up an impressive 58 points in 42 games. With 27 goals, he was the second-highest scorer in the Alps Hockey League (AlpsHL), behind Adam Capannelli. Dostalek spent the first years of his career playing in his native Czech Republic.

In total, he has made 53 appearances in the top flight and 414 in the second division. The 1,90-meter-tall winger amassed an impressive 245 points. Before his time in Sisak, Dostalek also played in Hungary and Poland.

In the summer, Dostalek moved to the British EIHL to play for the Fife Flyers, but he didn't receive the desired trust from them. After the Scottish team strengthened their roster, HCG had the opportunity to sign the Czech player. The Furie's new number 15 is expected to arrive in Val Gardena on Sunday and – if everything goes according to plan – will be eligible to play in the home game against the Wipptal Broncos.
