Traversa is a well-known name in South Tyrolean ice hockey. The 35-year-old played for Ritten and Pustertal, before transferring from the ICE Hockey League to HC Meran in the summer. After 21 points in 22 games, his contract was terminated, a decision announced by the Eagles last weekend.

Now it's clear why Traversa terminated his contract with the AlpsHL club: The forward is moving to league rival Asiago. As the Stellati announced on Monday afternoon, Traversa will be available for the evening's game against their old rival Cortina.
