Bolzano lets the competition dream again

Actually, no one doubts the quality of the Bolzano team, which recently won 4 games in a row. The runner-up should also make it straight into the playoffs this year. But a top 6 place is by no means set in stone for the Hanlon squad. The Foxes lost 3-4 away on Friday against their direct table neighbors from Linz. The lead over a pre-playoff place is still 3 points.

The basic round of the ICE Hockey League only lasts until February 23rd. There are still 6 games on the program for HC Bozen. So Daniel Frank & Co. don't need to joke. The commitment of the people of Talferstadt and the Black Wings Linz could not be denied. The game could easily have gone the other way. But the HCB doesn't give up and equalizes with a backhander from Alberga 15 minutes before the end. And again it was the Linzers who took the lead again just a minute later through Collins and now saved their lead over time. But HC Pustertal suffered worse than HC Bozen. The Wolves had to admit defeat to leaders Klagenfurt at home.
