Serie A: Ritten's masterful performance - Wolves also get point two

Second semi-final game, second victory: The Rittner Buam are rushing inexorably towards the final and on Saturday evening they once again proved that the path to the Serie A title is very difficult to get past the Buam. The cracks from the high plateau were able to rely on one essential strength: the Buam special teams worked like robots in the production facility of a large car company: flawlessly and efficiently. Ceresa restored the old gap in the second third before Tudin made the decision (42:42). Although Sterzing showed a great reaction in the further course of the final third and sometimes restricted the Buam in their own half of the field, Taylor Stefishen's goal to make it 2:4 came only three minutes before the end and therefore too late. Shortly before the end, Mark Van Guilder put the lid on it. In the series, Ritten extended its lead to 2-0 and can therefore get its first match puck on Tuesday.

Wolves outline the finale However, things were much more exciting in the Odegar Arena in Asiago: It seemed as if the home team were embarrassed after the 0-5 defeat in the first game, which is why they went to work like the fire department. After three minutes, HC Pustertal was already 0-2 behind, but Kevin DeVergilio scored the next goal in the first third. The second period was uneventful and goalless, it was only in the final third that things started to rise again: first Benetti brought about the supposed decision with the 3-1, then the Wolves showed morale, caught up again through Scandella and saved themselves through Kavanagh three minutes before the end into extension. It only took 129 seconds before Kevin DeVergilio shot his Pusterers to victory and thus painted the HCP's final dream ever more clearly on real paper with picturesque beauty.
