The Partschins upswing: “Important players are back”
SV Partschins has already scored more points in the second half of the season (14 points) than in the entire first half of the season (11). We spoke to the sporting director Manuel Werth about the Untervinschger race.

“The main reason for the upswing is certainly the return of the injured central defenders Michael Aiello and Maximilian Frank. They were missing for a long time in the first half of the season and it was difficult for us to compensate. In the second half of the season we always have a lot of people at training and sometimes we have to send players into the stands,” Werth explained SportNews-Conversation.
In addition, the sporting director managed to make a strong transfer in Paolo Basile (already 4 goals in the second half of the season) during the winter break. The offensive man had previously played for Lana before taking a break in the first half of the season. “It is important that we have our axis with Aiello-Rungg-Stark-Lanthaler back. Mike (Aiello Note d. Red.) is extremely important with his experience and attitude. “He gives us a lot of security with his game structure,” said Werth, praising his defense chief.

Partschins also had to let players like Elias Lampugnani (work reasons) go in the winter. In the relegation battle, anything is possible until the end. “The defeat in the last first round game against Lana still hurts a little,” said Werth. On Holy Saturday the promoted team welcomes the top team from Tramin. Federico Conci will be missing from Partschins due to a yellow card suspension. “We will of course try to take something with us,” was Werth’s motto.
