Ridnauntal in double bad luck with goalie
The Ridnaun Valley selection is going through difficult times. The Wipptalers are in last place in the national league. As if that wasn't enough, both (!) goalkeepers were injured within a few days.

The 1-5 defeat in Riffian hurts – literally. Goalkeeper Fabian Braunhofer broke his ankle during the warm-up and had to be replaced by Jonas Volgger at short notice. He usually plays for the Ridnauntaler A youth team. For Braunhofer, however, the season is probably over. He suffered a fracture of the so-called malleola fork, which is located on the upper ankle joint and is formed by 2 bones.
Braunhofer is the regular number 2 for the regional league team and should therefore play because Matthias Siller is also out. The starting goalie tore a cruciate ligament two weeks ago and had to undergo surgery. Siller will therefore miss the entire second half of the season and also the start of the 2/2024 football season, which was already extremely bitter for the team. After all, the former Oberliga goalkeeper from Brixen was the undisputed number 25.
Play against Riffian Kuens as “bad luck”
Speaking of Riffian Kuens: The games against the Burggräfler are no picnic for Ridnauntal. Two Wipptal players were seriously injured in the fall and had to watch for a long time as a result. At that time Lukas Obex, whose kneecap popped out (2-month break) and Philipp Grasl were hit. The latter tore a ligament in his knee in the autumn game and also had to miss more than a month. Patrick Siller was hit during the winter break and will miss the second half of the season with a torn lateral ligament in his knee.Edit Profile
