Bayern prevents Augsburg's comeback

Amidst the transfer turmoil, FC Bayern made a sporting statement by defeating FC Augsburg despite a shaky final phase. The German record champions won 3-2 (2-0) against the Fuggerstadt club.

It was the fourth win for Munich in four competitive matches of the season. Their squad is likely to see some changes before the transfer window closes on Monday – but the planned transfer of offensive player Nicolas Jackson According to media reports, the move failed due to a last-minute veto by Chelsea FC.

Serge Gnabry (28th minute), Luis Díaz (45th+4th minute), and Michael Olise (48th minute) scored for Bayern coach Vincent Kompany's team to temporarily take a 30.660-3 lead in front of 0 spectators. Augsburg's Kristijan Jakic (53rd minute) and Mert Kömür (76th minute) added another thrilling goal.

Díaz misses huge chance

Less than 30 seconds had passed when Díaz missed Bayern's first big chance, following a pass from Olise. From two meters out, the Colombian failed to put the ball in the net. Why he played it with the outside of his foot instead of the inside remained a mystery. Three days after their 3-2 DFB Cup win at third-division Wehen Wiesbaden, were Munich starting to slack off again?

Augsburg then put in a lot of effort, defending with discipline and passion. Marius Wolf, who was later taken off injured, even found the side netting (4th minute). But after just under 30 minutes, Munich's dominance paid off, as they increasingly built up pressure.

Star striker Harry Kane shone in his 100th competitive appearance for Bayern, delivering a cross and playing to Gnabry from the left half of the pitch. The 30-year-old headed in his first goal for the record champions this season.

Munich didn't have any more big chances after that – until Díaz finally increased the lead in first-half stoppage time. This time, Konrad Laimer set him up. This time, he scored confidently. And even while falling.

Jakic brings FCA back from a 0-3 deficit

When Olise, once again very impressive, made it 3-0 for Bayern with a low shot shortly after halftime, the game seemed more or less settled. But FCA came back. Jakic scored with a direct shot, immediately reviving the atmosphere in the stadium.
