FC Bayern must deliver in the title fight in Augsburg

FC Bayern must perform at the start of two crucial weeks of football in the Bundesliga title fight against their neighbors FC Augsburg.

A win in the opening matchday of 28 would initially see Bayern extend their lead over closest rivals Bayer Leverkusen to nine points. Coach Vincent Kompany, however, is aware of the difficulty of the task. He said: "Traditionally, Augsburg is not an easy game for FC Bayern." FCA is the only Bundesliga team without a defeat in the second half of the season. "We come with a lot of confidence," said coach Jess Thorup.
