Serie A club Fiorentina is worried about its striker Moise Kean. The Italian international suffered an unfortunate blow to the head from opponent Pawel Dawidowicz's knee in the Tuscans' Serie A match against Hellas Verona (0:1) on Sunday and had to undergo lengthy treatment afterwards. Kean initially continued playing, but fell over minutes later without any external influence. His club later spoke of a head trauma.
After Kean lost his balance after just over an hour, teammates and Hellas players immediately called for help. Paramedics immediately took the 24-year-old to hospital. In a statement, Fiorentina later announced that "Kean suffered a head trauma during the game against Verona. He is in hospital for examinations." With 15 goals, the attacker is the second-best goalscorer in Serie A this season.
Bad memories of Edoardo Bove
It is already the second big shock for Fiorentina this season. Midfielder Edoardo Bove collapsed on the pitch against Inter on December 1 after suffering a cardiac arrest. In view of these events, the sporting aspect took a back seat this Sunday. Juventus beat Cagliari 12-1 thanks to a Dusan Vlahovic goal (0th). Napoli, on the other hand, are in crisis: they suffered a 1-2 defeat against Como, meaning the southern Italians have not won in four games. Antonio Conte's team thus lost the lead in the table to Inter, who had already beaten Genoa 1-0 on Saturday.
