Exhilarating derby victory: Inter leads Milan

“Chi non salta rossonero é”, in German: “Whoever doesn’t jump is a red-black”. These deafening chants echoed through the walls of the San Siro Stadium on Saturday evening, sung by jumping and euphoric Inter fans. Rossoneri, in this case arch-rivals Milan, left the field with their heads bowed after a memorable 1-5 defeat. Inter has once again proven its supremacy in Milan and won the fifth “Derby della Madonnina” en suite - and in an impressive way.

Simone Inzaghi's team didn't give their local rivals the slightest chance this Saturday. From the first minute, Milan was taken by surprise by Inter's pace, aggressiveness and irrepressible will. Milan reduced the deficit after the break with Rafael Leao (57'), but that was just a drop in the ocean. In the final phase, Inter ignited the turbo once again and increased the lead to 5:1. The outstanding Mkhitaryan (69th), Hakan Calhanoglu with a penalty (79th) and substitute Davide Frattesi after Mkhitaryan's preparatory work (90th + 3) made the Inter festival perfect. With four wins in four games, Inter remains flawless in this championship so far.

Juve striker Dusan Vlahovic, who was much criticized last year, became the match winner.
