a Serie A

Santiago Castro contributed two goals to Bologna’s victory.

Bologna also wins the second game in South Tyrol

The Serie A club FC Bologna has been in the training camp in Vals since Monday. This Saturday, the Emilians played their second test match – and celebrated their second victory.

FC Bologna, which finished the last Serie A season in a sensational fifth place and will therefore be playing in the Champions League next year, won its second friendly match in South Tyrol on Saturday afternoon. On Wednesday, the team led by new coach Vincenzo Italiano celebrated a meager 2-0 victory against the top division team Brixen, and today they faced the Serie C club Caldiero Terme: the final result was a 5-0 victory.

The goals were scored twice by Riccardo Orsolini, Thijs Dallinga, Stefan Posch and Santiago Castro. The goal by new striker Dallinga, who moved to Bologna from Toulouse in Ligue 1, was particularly pleasing to the numerous fans in Vals.

Three-way tournament at Drusus Stadium

FC Bologna will now train in South Tyrol for another week. The training camp will conclude with a three-team tournament in the Drusus Stadium in Bozen on Saturday, July 3. The opponents will be FC Südtirol and VfL Bochum.
