Cremonese remains undefeated, Verona still winless

Cremonese remains the team of the moment in Serie A. The newly promoted side picked up another point against Verona. The match between Como and Genoa also ended in a draw.

Early Monday evening, Cremonese salvaged their third point in their third game of the season with a stroke of luck. On the debut of Cremonese's star signing Jamie Vardy (he looked pale after being substituted on), the Lombard side secured a 0-0 draw against Hellas Verona.

Zanetti's team clearly dominated at home in the "Bentegodi" stadium and created a significant advantage in terms of chances, but the visiting goalkeeper Audero held on to secure the point. Cremonese is now in third place with seven points, the closest challenger to top teams Juventus and Napoli. Verona, on the other hand, is stuck in the bottom third of the table with just two points.

Former FCS striker saves Genoa

Genoa is also still waiting for its first win after three matches. However, Monday evening's 1-1 draw against Como feels like a complete victory. Former FC Südtirol striker Caleb Ekuban rescued a point for Genoa in the 92nd minute. Como, which was playing with ten men in the closing stages following Jacobo Ramon's suspension, had already taken the lead in the 13th minute through exceptional talent Nico Paz.
