The Milan stars were sent off to the dressing room after their home game against Lazio with a shrill chorus of whistles and chants against club owner Gerry Cardinale. They had previously suffered a bitter 1:2 defeat against Lazio.
It was bitter because Milan had meanwhile played with ten men (Pavlovic was sent off in the 67th minute) and had equalised Lazio's 1-0 lead thanks to the strong Zaccagni. Substitute Chukwueze scored in the 85th minute to make it 1-1. In the turbulent stoppage time, Milan goalkeeper Maignan brought down Lazio's Isaksen. Old star Pedro converted the resulting penalty in the 98th minute to make it 2-1.

Roma continues to win
Immediately ahead of Milan in the table is AS Roma, who scored their fourth win in a row with a hard-earned 2-1 home win against Como.
