Napoli is a team, Milan is not

The gap between Inter and Napoli at the top of Serie A remains three points. These two teams are likely to battle it out for the Scudetto with eight games remaining. The Neapolitans won 3-8 at home against AC Milan on Sunday, as did Inter against Udinese.
What's been noticeable all season: Napoli had to let go of their best attacking players, Kvaratskhelia and Osimhen, in the summer, and yet they're still playing much better than last year. Antonio Conte has re-formed the team into a unit that fights for each other. And for a while, Conte is simply getting the best out of supposedly "average" players. On Sunday, Matteo Politano and Romelu Lukaku, who are currently experiencing something of a second spring, scored.

Milan, on the other hand, woke up too late, but could have even equalized in the end. Overall, Milan is having a truly disastrous season. The Rossoneri are currently wearing out their second coach. Something seems to be wrong with the club's management. Furthermore, Theo Hernandez and Rafael Leao aren't currently top performers, but are too self-absorbed. On paper, Milan doesn't have weaker individual players than Napoli, but the team structure is completely off.
