New coaches for the crisis-ridden clubs of Serie A

After a weak start to the season, Genoa and Fiorentina have both sacked their coaches. Their successors are now ready.

After not winning a single game in the first nine matches, Genoa They sacked their previous coach, Patrick Vieira. With interim solutions Roberto Murgita and Domenico Criscito, they then secured their first three points on Monday against Sassuolo.

Daniele De Rossi has been appointed Genoa's new coach. The Roma legend previously managed SPAL in Serie B and his beloved club. However, De Rossi was dismissed by Roma after just a few games last year. Now, the 42-year-old can make a fresh start in Serie A with Genoa.

Within the Fiorentina The return of former Milan title-winning coach Stefano Pioli has ended in resounding failure. In ten matches, they managed only four points and failed to secure a single victory. Sporting director Daniele Pradé also resigned following Pioli's dismissal from the bottom-of-the-table club. Paolo Vanoli is expected to be the new coach. The former assistant to Antonio Conte led Venezia to Serie A and coached Torino in Serie A last year.
