Serie A club Bologna is currently preparing for the upcoming season in Vals. On Thursday, the first friendly match was scheduled – against the regional league team Gitschberg Jochtal.

Vincenzo Italiano's team, which missed out on European qualification last season by just three points, brought out the big guns and won 8-0. Former Serie A top scorer Ciro Immobile played from the start, and it was Immobile who opened the scoring in the 27th minute.

He and Swiss Dan Ndoye (both scored a brace) made it 4-0 at halftime. After the break, superstar Riccardo Orsolini, Nicolò Cambiaghi, and Santiago Castro pushed the score even higher.

Preparation continues

For Bologna, which is visiting the Gitschberg Jochtal holiday region for the third consecutive year, this was its first friendly match in Vals. The next match against Virtus Verona is scheduled for July 20, before a three-way tournament with FC Südtirol and Sassuolo at the Drusus Stadium in Bolzano on July 26, concluding the training camp.
