A few seconds are enough for Milan to win

AC Milan celebrated an important 2-1 away win against Genoa at the Luigi Ferraris Stadium in Genoa on Sunday evening.

The Rossoneri turned the game around within two minutes of the second half and secured three points, which are especially important for morale, as there's hardly anything left to gain in the table. Genoa didn't deserve the defeat: The "Grifone" were the better team for long stretches—more committed, more determined, and clearer in their actions.

Vitinha initially gave Genoa the lead (61'), but Milan struck back with icy coolness in the closing stages. First, Rafael Leão equalized (76'), and shortly afterwards, Genoa's Morten Frendrup unluckily tipped the ball into his own net (77'). The double blow dashed the hopes of the home fans, who were nevertheless in a celebratory mood: Genoa had already secured their place in the league last week.

Milan will now face Bologna twice in a row: on Friday in the league, and on Wednesday, May 14, in the Coppa Italia final.
